Hay. Just came from school. Kakatapos ko lang kasi mag-enroll. I must say, this is so far the most stressful registration I've experienced in UP. Ngayon lang ako inabot ng buong araw sa kakapila at pag-enlist. I guess kailangan ko nang masanay. At least 2 sems pa bago ako muling maging priority sa registration. And besides, maswerte na daw ako dahil naranasan ko ang CRS. Dati daw puro manual lang ang registration. I guess that's something to be thankful for. :)

Anyway, I read my friend's blog, but I somehow cannot post a comment on her blog (I have yet to master the inner workings of friendster blogging...hehe). So I guess I'll just put them here.

Hey Soul...I only found out about what happened today. It's kind of a hard situation, the one you're in right now. I wish I could give you some useful advice, but I'm not really an expert when it comes to that kind of matter. I guess the best I can offer is the usual shock absorption we used to do. Your Soul_1215 is just right here, ready to listen to everything (and as usual, absorb shock waves of emotion). Hang in there...

Just came back from Baguio. Hehe, ang lamig dun! Tapos nakalimutan ko pang magdala ng jacket (kumusta naman?). Pero ok lang, nag-survive naman ako. Ang ganda pala ng SM Baguio. It's probably the best-looking SM mall I've been to.

Tapos bukas, Tagaytay naman daw sabi ng mom ko. Gusto pa yatang mamili ng mga halaman dun. Hehehe. Pagkatapos next week naman may 2 games ang Granny Goose (favorite PBL team ko). Tapos may event pa sa November 3. Hehe, sinusulit ko talaga ang sembreak. Lalo na't mukhang mabigat ang load ko next sem...Bio 11 + Psych 115 ba naman. Tapos kukuha pa ako ng 2 GE na MST. Hay, good luck na lang. :)

Nga pala, kindly take a peek at my Friendster blog na din. Madami akong recent posts dun, although mas marami pa rin ang total number of posts ko dito. :)

I don't know if "blog-surfing" is really a word. But I did it anyway. I read my friends' blogs plus some other blogs as well. Nakakatuwa magbasa ng mga entries ng ibang tao. Kaya lang nasa okray mode na naman ako ngayon. Hehe... *evil grin*

I'm so happy. :) I already have tickets for the UAAP Cheering Competition. I'll be going with friends and other Maroon Maniacs. I really hope the UP Pep Squad wins this year. Ilang taon na din ang nakalipas since the Cheering crown was owned by Diliman. Sana it's our time ulit this year. UP Fight!

I'm also happy because the UPIS Junior Maroons made it to the Final 4. As of now, hindi pa alam kung sino ang makakalaban nila. Pero alam ko kaya nila yan. I have faith in the Juniors Team. Go UPIS!

Lastly, I uploaded some pics in my friendster account. Pinalitan ko na din yung primary pic ko. Hehe, hindi rin naman masyadong karir yung iba kong pics. :)

As expected, nabulok nanaman yung blog ko. I should really do away with my ningas-kugon attitude. Well anyway, we have no classes today so here I am adding another entry to my stagnant blog.
I'm really thankful that we have no classes today. For the past 5 days I've been very busy. Hindi pa ako nakakauwi ng bahay na mas maaga sa 8pm. What have I been doing? Well, mostly making banners for the UP Fighting Maroons and the UPIS Junior Maroons and going to their games to cheer for them. Buti na lang talaga sa Blue Eagle Gym lang ang venue ng mga games. Although it's much farther away from our house, the tickets are so much cheaper. Hindi naman ako gaanong namomroblema sa pagbili ng tickets, pero syempre ang laki din ng matitipid no?
Kapag hindi naman ako nanonood ng games or nag-iinternet para mag-post sa peyups.com, I keep myself busy with my hobby. Which is acads. Grabe, hobby ko na lang talaga ngayon ang acads. Oh well, I spent the most part of 10 years na puro acads lang ang inaatupag. Iba naman ngayong college!
Hay, I can't wait for the next game. It's on Thursday vs AdU. Sadly, I won't be able to watch the Juniors game because of my class. I'll be there siguro in spirit na lang. :)

The UP Fighting Maroons are currently on top of the standings! They have a 3-0 win-loss record:

July 9 - UP defeats UST 69-66. I mentioned this game in an earlier post. A very heartstopping game!

July 14 - UP defeats DLSU 61-56. Haha...Payback!!! DLSU was the team that shattered our hopes of a Final Four appearance last season. Plus, they are the defending champions! I am really happy for the Maroons with this win.

July 17 - UP defeats NU 81-59. Sadly, I wasn't able to watch this live because I had to go to the province (more about this later). Axel Doruelo (UP # 14) played his best game yet. He is now my favorite Fighting Maroon this season (together with Mika Vainio).

UP' s next game is this Saturday against UE. The team that beat us for the last Final 4 spot last season. It's a tough assignment, but I'm sure the Maroons can win this game! UP Fight!!!

By the way, I'm going to post a couple of UP cheers....Hehe, wala lang :)

Grabe, it's been a long time since I last posted...

I just finished rearranging my bookcase. I found out that around 15 of my books had been borrowed but not yet returned. Most of them are Sidney Sheldons and Dan Browns...

What's worse, I forgot the people who borrowed them, and they have probably forgotten that they borrowed from me. I mean, many of them have been missing since 4th year high school...That's like 2 years ago. Argh!

Hmmm...I should probably take better care of my books.

UAAP

It's been a while since I last posted...it's been nearly a week! Much has happened since then, but I guess the most exciting day would have to be Saturday, July 9.

I had a test scheduled for that day, at 10-1130 a.m. for my Math 100 class. It was a little difficult, but I breezed through it because my mind was on other things. Yes, July 9 was also the opening day of the UAAP. I've been waiting for that since way back last year!!!

Needless to say, I rushed to the Araneta Coliseum after the exam. Opening Day started with a ceremony prepared by the host school (Adamson). It was a nice ceremony and guess what, I saw the RNB Princess Kyla up-close! (She sang the UAAP theme---na nagiging LSS ko na!)

The first game of the season started after the ceremony. UP vs. UST. It felt nice to be able to cheer again for UP, and needless to say, I cheered with all my heart (never mind that I had not eaten anything for lunch and had just gone through a though MATH exam). UST led for most of the game, even as much as 9 points at the last 2 minutes. Suddenly, UP caught up and won the game, thanks to the efforts of team captain Abby Santos. I was ecstatic during the last few seconds of the game!

It was truly a very exhausting, yet very exciting day! :)

Cellphones

I met with my friend Alex yesterday. She didn't know that Aya lost her cellphone. We noticed a pattern concerning the cellphones of Valkyrie peeps from UP Diliman:

1. Basty lost his cellphone during summer vacation
2. Edward lost his cellphone on the first day of classes
3. Aya lost her cellphone last week

I should probably start fretting and panicking (spell?) if Alex loses her cellphone anytime soon. Or maybe I'm next in line (no!!!!!!)

Anyway, 3 more days 'til the UAAP Opening Ceremonies! I'm so excited already!

Fiscal Crisis

Just came home after watching War of the Worlds at Megamall. (It was an OK movie, btw)

I'm kind of surprised that I have so little cash left for the weekend. I even had to walk all the way home from Megamall (I assure you that it was far from "walking distance"). I've been having this problem for the past two weeks. I mean, I used to have some extra cash for the weekend, but these past few weeks I can barely even reach Friday with more than 50 pesos in my wallet.

Then again, I should probably stop hoarding the pocketbooks at the AS Walk tiangges *heeh* ^__^

Zodiacs

What does the astrologer (or whoever writes the daily horoscopes) of Libre have against Capricorns? Everytime I pick up a copy of Libre to look at my horoscope for the day I get disappointed. Capricorns get the rotten end of the deal for like, 4 out of 5 days (I only get to read Libre during Weekdays). Meanwhile, other signs (such as Taurus and Sagittarius) rarely have a bad day.

What's worse, I actually believe what the Libre horoscope says! (They're supposed to be just for fun...)

Moans

We were at the middle of a lecture in our Psych 110 class when my classmates started fretting. That's when I heard it too. It kind of sounded like moaning, but was not really quite like a moan. I couldn't really explain, but it didn't sound like the 'usual' moan. Nevertheless, it sounded creepy and you could imagine how the whole class reacted. I guess you could call it a "mini" mass hysteria. Thankfully, our prof maintained a cool demeanor and went out to check if somebody was making those sounds from the adjacent rooms.

It turned out to be the sound of the lawnmower. It probably sounded different because of the airconditioning unit of our room.

So much for the "mini" mass hysteria.

My Worst Fashion Nightmare

I entered my Psych 110 classroom and sat at my usual place. I looked around me and noticed that some of my classmates were staring at me and giggling. I wondered why. Did I have dirt smudged on my cheek? Was my hair ruffled and untidy? Did I look very sweaty? I was a little irritated until I looked at one of my classmates who were giggling.

We were wearing the same shirt!!! Argh!

Philo Woes

Ugh. I woke up late today so I had to rush in order to make it to my 7 am Philo 1 class. What made it worse was that the traffic in EDSA was unbelievable. I actually considered not going to class but I was already absent at our last meeting...so I really had no choice.

I arrived at UP at exactly 7:10 am.Ignoring the pain in my legs,I ran through four flights of stairs until I finally reached my room. A piece of paper posted near the doorway greeted me:

Philo 1 7-830 am NO CLASSES TODAY (June 28, 2005)

Great! All that haste for nothing...

And the worst thing was, I forgot to greet my brother a Happy Birthday!

Title: I'm Alive!

Haha...haven't posted in ages...whew! Super busy kasi with all those school stuffs. Well, much has happened since my last post. Granny Goose Tortillos finished 4th in the PBL Open Championships (could have been third if those referees...nevermind...). It's Talk n'Txt vs. Ginebra in the PBA Finals (I wish Purefoods had somehow managed to get into the Finals, but I guess I have to settle for Ginebra). Oh, and Mike, CJ, Ryza and LJ are Starstruck 2's Final 4 (MEGAN should have been there instead of someone else...go figure...).

Haay...I'm excited for February 12...hopefully if plans push through, it would be one of the happiest days for me this year, and possibly my whole life :). That would be all for now...'til my next entry! :)

Hey ya...I haven't posted for the longest time...I'm caught between academics, PBL (where I'm supporting Granny Goose Tortillos) and Starstruck (Go Mike, Megan and Ana!)...

I watched a PBL game in Makati Coliseum yesterday, ICTSI La Salle vs Granny Goose Tortillos...sadly, Granny Goose lost...I did NOT like the way those ICTSI players played! If you asked me, they played dirty...but then again, that's just me (sorry to all DLSU fans I've offended).

More bad news...my idol and favorite player...Toti Almeda...he's injured. Dislocated fingers, i think. They got caught in someone's jersey...someone I HATE very much!!! He might not be able to play for 2-3 weeks! HE DOES NOT DESERVE WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM!! Dapat si ******* na lang!!

Oh well, this may seem like bad news for Granny Goose, but I have faith in the team. I'm sure they will still do their best to win, even without Toti. But HE WILL BE MISSED!! Anyway, they're still number 1 in the team standings. They are tied with Montana though...and Magnolia is at their heels...

Let's Get Started

Hehe...this was my first ever post in my previous blog. I'm actually having fun reading my previous entries! :)

November 15, 2004. 10:45 am. Monday. Holiday. Last day of Ramadan.

Finally...I've managed to create my blog... Actually, my friend Chie put the idea in my head a few days ago. Although I turned down the idea at that time, I've decided to push through with it...so there. ***Btw, Chie, thanks a lot for the idea***

So here I am, sitting in front of my computer, typing my first entry. Haay, ang hirap nga naman pag walang pasok, minsan walang magawa. Well anyway, for starters, I'm just going to enumerate what I plan to do for today:

1. Create my own blog (hehe, doing that already) and make the necessary adjustments in the settings :)

2. Listen to my CDs and probably watch one of my VCDs...

3. Surf the net and search for anything about the UAAP and PBL...particularly, about the UP Fighting Maroons (my ultimate favorite team!) and most especially, about Toti Almeda (my ultimate favorite player and idol!)

4. Watch Starstruck, GMA7's Reality Artista Search, and cheer for my bets/favorites (Mike, Chris for the guys...Ana, Krizzy and pretty Megan for the girls:)...oh, and also search for anything about them in the net....

5. Visit peyups.com and pinoyexchange.com...(not to post anything, because I'm not a peyups member and I don't usually post in pex)...just to lurk and read anything about starstruck or the maroons...:)

6. Get my homework done (thankfully, I'm not overloaded since the 2nd semester just started!) So there...hopefully I will be able to accomplish all of these today...I'll try to post again later! 'Til my next entry! :) One Team! One Heart! UP Fight! Toti4almedarulez!!! :) valkyrie_13!

Rearranging

I really had nothing to do for pretty much the whole day, so I've decided to settle with blogging. My next few posts would be excerpts from my previous blog "Maroonstruck" (rest its soul). I actually had some nice entries in it that I would hate to be lost, so I'm reposting them in this blog.

Starting Over

Okay, so this must be my fifth attempt at making a blog. Or probably sixth. The point is, for someone who is genetically lazy like me, maintaining a blog is such a huge chore. So why bother?

I don't really know the answer to that question. All I know is, I really seriously want to try blogging, so here I am. This time, I will really try my very best to make this blog active (okay, I've said this before, but this time I mean it).

What's up with the blog name? Well actually, it has something to do with two of my favorite deities in Greek myths. The trident is the symbol of Poseidon, god of the sea. Apollo is the god of light, healing, etcetera (very "versatile" actually). So there. 'Til my next post!

Btw, I hope my friend Alex doesn't mind if I steal her "identity" as Apollo *crosses fingers*
